Transactel Heroes

At Transactel we are always innovating and driving change through positive minds. We encourage our employees to give their best, professionally and personally . Based on this premise, our company created the “Transactel Heroes” program, which reminds our employees that they can be heroes in every aspect of their lives.

This program, besides being a link to prospective Transactel employees, has promoted our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program among our current employees. 

Transactel Heroes Foundation - "Taking Care of Our Own"

Through the Transactel Heroes Foundation, our company develops a new generation of people with values and responsibilities. We believe that as part of the Transactel family, we have a commitment to our community, our people and those in need. The Transactel Heroes Foundation was created in 2009, it was born from our Heroes desire to support their fellow colleagues in an emergency or immediate necessity, generating solidarity among the team. Transactel Heroes have engaged in different activities to collect emergency funds and help co-workers. Today, the Heroes Foundation focuses on redirecting Transactel’s philanthropic resources on community needs. The Foundation’s mission is to create sustainable community improvements in the areas of: education, nutrition and social services.

Through the Transactel Heroes Foundation we have been able to support many projects such as: blood drives, integral volunteering at orphanages, computer and equipment donations, etc. We also have a corporate-wide project, The Transactel Day of Service, a day to lend a helping hand to the community. Last year, more than a thousand volunteers in Guatemala spent one day at the Guatemalan Neurological Institute, building three classrooms, decorating walls, sharing with the children and working as a team. El Salvador’s team transformed the educational center Benjamin Bloom and our team in Quetzaltenango worked for a day at the Hogar del Niño Minusválido Hermano Pedro (center for handicapped children).
